EHCP FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Aubis EHCP app for parents.
Factual information only — not legal advice
What is Aubis?
Aubis is an app for SEND parents managing EHCPs. It keeps documents, emails, deadlines, and analysis in one place — so you can see where you stand without drowning in paperwork.
Is this legal advice?
No. Aubis is informational only. We show you what's in your documents, what the law says, and where deadlines stand. We don't tell you what to do. You decide.
What does AiMapping do?
AiMapping compares your EHCP against professional reports — line by line, both directions. It shows where recommendations made it into the plan, where they were weakened, and where they're missing entirely. With page numbers.
What is Request Writer?
Request Writer is a guided interview for EHC Needs Assessment requests. It asks questions about your child's needs, captures the detail decision-makers need, pulls evidence from your uploaded documents, and produces a draft letter in your voice.
What is Email Intelligence?
Email Intelligence reads your forwarded emails and extracts: statements, commitments, requests you made, position signals, and events. It tracks whether requests were answered and spots patterns over time.
What does Red Pen do?
Red Pen reads your EHCP section by section and checks it against what the law requires. It shows where wording is vague, where provision isn't quantified, and what the Code of Practice says should be there.
How do the deadlines work?
Aubis tracks statutory deadlines based on UK SEND law. The law gives councils 20 weeks from request to final EHCP. Aubis shows you where you are in that timeline — and flags when deadlines pass.
What statutory deadlines does Aubis track?
Decision to assess: 6 weeks from request. Draft EHCP issued: 16 weeks from request. Time to respond to draft: 15 days. Final EHCP issued: 20 weeks from request. Annual Review decision: 4 weeks from meeting.
Can I use Aubis for tribunal preparation?
Aubis helps you organise evidence and track deadlines for tribunal appeals. It doesn't give legal advice or represent you. Many parents use Aubis alongside organisations like IPSEA or SOS!SEN.
What about data privacy?
Your data belongs to you. Aubis is built for GDPR compliance. You can export your data, delete it, or take it with you. All documents are encrypted with AES-256. We don't sell your data or use it to train AI.
How much does it cost?
£3.99 per child per month. Everything included. Cancel anytime. Your data stays yours.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. You can explore the app and see how it works before subscribing.
Do I need an EHCP already?
No. Aubis works whether you're requesting an assessment, going through the process, or managing an existing EHCP. It's also useful for annual reviews, reassessments, and phase transfers.
What documents can I upload?
PDFs, images, Word documents. Reports, letters, EHCPs, emails — anything relevant to your child's case.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All documents are scanned for viruses and stored with AES-256 encryption. Two-factor authentication is required for all accounts. Sessions expire after inactivity.
What Aubis doesn't do
Aubis shows you where you stand. It doesn't tell you what to do. We don't give legal advice. We don't predict outcomes. We don't write to the council for you. We don't represent you at tribunal. Aubis shows. You decide.
